A new cafe serving breakfast and lunch is welcoming customers after a full refurbishment of a former butty shop.
Licence to Grill opened its doors on August 8 to customers, serving up breakfast and lunch seven days a week.
Owner Jason Jeal said he ripped out the interior of former Kayleigh’s Baps on Hereford Road, Blackburn, before spending thousands on a new fresh look.
He said: “I’ve come round here, people have said they like the food, they like the décor and that it is a nice place to come to.
“We’ve had a full refurb in here, brand new kitchen, brand new front area. It is such a big difference.
“People can sit in and enjoy their breakfast or lunch. We also have a delivery service and takeaway service, plus we have tables outside.”
He said that since they opened, customers have commented about the food and the new look of the cafe.
Jason works at the shop himself and has two part-time members of staff, with hopes to bring in more workers as the business grows.
Licence to Grill is not Jason's first venture into the cafe business; he previously owned Daisyfield Café Bar in the business centre on Appleby Street. Before that, he ran Sandwich Bar on King Street.
The cafe serves breakfast, including a full English, bacon baps, spam baps and more. They also serve salad and sandwiches at lunchtime.
