AN East Lancashire park is to host a sports and cycling event on August 19.
It will take place at Accrington's Milnshaw Park from 11am to 3pm.
It will include range of sports and cycling taster sessions for the whole family to enjoy - plus a bumper children’s bike giveaway.
The sports sessions will include rounders, football, tennis and bikeability.
The event is part of the Let’s Move Hyndburn initiative, which encourages local people to discover opportunities to get active.
There will be 20 second-hand refurbished children’s bikes to give away on the day, courtesy of Active Lancashire’s Cycle Recycle.
Linda Horsfield, Hyndburn Leisure’s head of health and community development said:“We can’t wait to welcome people to Milnshaw Park and showcase the fantastic leisure opportunities available on their doorstep.
“Aside from the organised sports sessions, we’re keen for people to discover Milnshaw Park’s brilliant resources including a ball court, a children’s play area, an outdoor gym, balling green and a pump track for bikes.
“Hyndburn has really got behind the 'Let's Move Hyndburn' project.”
