ROSSENDALE and Darwen MP Jake Berry has secured an energy rebate for park home residents
The Tory backbencher had lobbied energy secretary Greg Hands on the cost of living issue.
He was concerned that park home residents might not have a domestic energy meter or a direct relationship with an energy supplier and therefore would not fall under the original Energy Bills Support Scheme.
Now Mr Hands has confirmed that residents living in park homes will get the equivalent of the £400 energy rebate that other households will be receiving over the next few months.
Mr Berry MP said:“I’m really pleased that the Secretary of State has listened to the concerns of park homes residents like those living on Swinnel Brook Park in Helmshore and introduced further funding to ensure they will get the same £400 of support towards the cost of their energy bills.”
