A man has been fined and given six points after driving at nearly 100mph on the motorway.
Ajaz Ali, of East Park Avenue, Blackburn, was on the M58 on April 5, when he was spotted driving at 98mph.
The manned speed camera caught him between junction one and Switch Island of the motorway when he was driving at high speed.
The 46-year-old pleaded guilty to speeding at Wirral Magistrates Court on July 20, 2022.
Ali was fined £146, ordered to pay a surcharge of £34 to victim services and costs of £110 – a total payment of £290.
He was also given six points on his licence.
