An unlicenced motorbike rider who blew three times over the legal drink limit has been arrested.

Officers working in the Brougham Street area of Burnley on Monday spotted a black motorbike without a licence number and decided to stop it.

It was later established that not only did the rider have no licence or insurance – but he had also been drinking.

A police spokesman said: “The motorbike was seized by our team two response officers and the rider was later arrested for driving without any insurance and also for failing a roadside breath test, blowing 90mg, nearly three times over the limit.

"He will spend the night in one of our finest Blackburn custody suites. We endeavour to crack down on uninsured drivers and those who stupidly chose to put people’s lives at risk by drink driving.

“Thank you again for your continued support.”
