Have you got what it takes to be a singing superstar on The Voice UK?

Now is your chance to test the theory as a karaoke bar in Lancashire is hosting open mic auditions for the show on Wednesday, July 27.

Bar 143, Friargate, Preston is on the hunt for “incredible solo artists, duos, trios and vocal groups” to step up to the mic and impress ITV producers who might be watching.

The owner, Des Gillan, said he was approached by producers who asked the bar to host the auditions for them.

Even if you don’t want to perform yourself you can still come along from 7pm and potentially see the winner of The Voice UK 2022 perform live.

Those interested are being asked to prepare one song complete with backing track and instrument.

All musical styles are welcome, including rap, beatboxing and spoken word mixed with singing.

Plenty of talented Lancashire singers have set the coaches’ chairs spinning on the talent show in the past.

Longridge’s Hayley Eccles made it onto the show in 2017 and Burnley-born David Barnes made it to the last 26 on The Voice UK in 2016.

Denise Morgan from Darwen previously appeared on The Voice UK in 2012, with coach Sir Tom Jones and got to the battle rounds before losing the vote.

Cody Frost from Nelson also appeared on the talent show in 2016.

Blackburn singer Ryan North featured in 2018 alongside girlfriend Tania; three judges pushed their buttons for Ryan and Tania and they chose to go with Olly Murs.

Any under 18s must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and you must be aged 16 years or older before November 26, 2022, to take part.
