The Sensory Station area at Inspiration Station play centre has been designed and equipped to suit the needs of children and adults who have physical and learning disabilities or sensory preferences.

The Soft Play Station is not only fun but an educational area where children can explore and learn through physical activity in the safe play environment.

Tickets normally cost £5 an hour; however, thanks to the generosity of Rummage Rescuers partnership, the price has been reduced to £3 unlimited play a day to further support local families struggling.

The first day of the summer play deal took place yesterday, Monday July, 25 and Jamie Byrne, manager at Inspiration Station shared how well it went.

She said: “The impact is amazing. We had lots of happy customers that couldn't believe we had no time limit on the children’s play for only £3 which some quoted as a bargain.

“It was lovely to see so many children mixing and exploring with other children especially after the last couple of years and the effect of Covid.

“Parents/carers were relaxed and again interacting with others, especially new parents like myself who haven't had the chance to experience anything like this. It's Amazing!

“We are very excited and extremely grateful that we are able to offer this opportunity to many families who are struggling.”

The offer allows babies, parents and carers to attend the play areas for free. The free tickets can be obtained from Rummage Rescuers Town Centre in Town Hall Street, Blackburn.

Tickets are available on a first come first serve basis. Call 01254 581478 for more information.
