The best and worst GP practices in Burnley, according to patients, have been revealed.

Patients were invited to take part in the GP Patient Survey earlier this year, letting them have their say on their local GP surgery.

The best surgeries in Burnley, according to patients are Yorkshire Street Medical Centre, Burnley Wood Medical Centre and Rosegrove Surgery.

Yorkshire Street Medical Centre was the highest rated, with 86 per cent of patients rating it as ‘good’ overall, while Burnley Wood Medical Centre was rated as the second best in the borough, with 83 per cent of patients saying their overall experience was ‘good’.

At Rosegrove Surgery, 81 per cent of patients rated the overall experience they had as ‘good’.

The worst rated in Burnley were Burnley Group Practice, Colne Road Surgery, Riverside Family Practice.

Riverside Family Practice had an overall satisfaction rating of 43 per cent, while at Colne Road Surgery, 54 per cent of patients said their experience with the practice was ‘good’.

Of the patients at Burnley Group Practice, 57 per cent rated their experience as ‘good’.

Riverside Family Practice was unable to provide a comment.

Burnley Group Practice and Colne Road Surgery were both contacted for comment by the Lancashire Telegraph but did not respond.
