Police investigating a sexual assault on a train have identified a man in connection with the incident.
At 8pm on Wednesday March 16, a woman travelling with her daughter boarded an Edinburgh-bound train at Preston station.
The woman moved aside to allow a group of men to go past her, when one of the men sexually assaulted her.
CCTV images were shared and an appeal was launched to help find the man, and today, British Transport Police have announced he has been identified.
A spokesperson for the BTP said: "A man has now been identified in connection to this incident and a voluntary interview is being arranged.
"Officers are not looking to identify anyone else."
