Three Blackburn teenagers have been arrested following a burglary in Mill Hill.
The crime took place on June 26 as an "elderly vulnerable male" was out watching his local cricket team, police in Blackburn have said.
Among the belongings taken was a plasma television, which was later found in the nearby canal.
A Blackburn with Darwen Police spokesperson said: "The teenagers have smashed several windows with bricks before gaining entry and then have proceeded to rifle through his personal belongings.
"Local residents have supported the male during this difficult time by assisting with the damaged windows and replacing his television.
"Several teams were quickly utilised to seize CCTV and gather evidence in order to identify the offenders responsible.
"The teenagers will be appearing at Blackburn Magistrates Court in due course."
