The West Pennine area of Blackburn has been revealed as the most expensive area of Blackburn with Darwen.

The average house price in the area, which includes Edgworth, Turton and Chapeltown, in 2021 was £247,500.

This was followed by Billinge and Beardwood (£198,500) and Livesey with Pleasington (£180,000), showing the West Pennine ward's average price is almost £50,000 higher than the rest of the borough.

Of sales last year, nine per cent (160) in Blackburn with Darwen were in West Pennine – making it both the most expensive and the busiest area for buyers.
