An alleged ‘drink driver’ has been arrested after a crash has left a man needing surgery.
The crash happened at 10.30pm in Redlam, Blackburn yesterday (June 26) between a Citroen C3 and a Volkswagen Golf.
The passenger of the Golf was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital but has since been transferred to Royal Preston Hospital where he has undergone surgery to relieve pressure caused by a bleed on the brain.
The driver of the Golf has been arrested on suspicion of driving with excess alcohol.
Police are asking for any witnesses who may have seen the incident to contact them on 101 quoting incident 1583 of June 26.
