High-end car seized as driver caught at 100mph - more that 70mph over the limit
The driver of a sporty Mercedes was seen using a road as his own personal racetrack as he reached speeds of over 100mph.
The AMG C63, a luxurious, high-end performance vehicle, was towed away by officers who stopped the driver in his tracks.
A spokesman said: “This Mercedes AMG C63 was using London Way, Preston, as his own personal racetrack driving in excess of 100mph.
“Unfortunately for the driver he was being followed. Driver stopped and reported for excess speed. Vehicle seized under S59 powers.”
The speed limit on London Road is 30mph, meaning that the driver was driving at more than 70mph over the limit.
