A popular pub which has not welcomed customers since before the first lockdown has finally opened its doors after a six-figure makeover.
The Old Leyland Gates, in Golden Hill Lane, Leyland, has seen the bar, kitchen and beer garden renovated ready to welcome punters back in the door.
As well as an upgraded drinks offering, the bar has also been fitted with a deluxe big screen TV featuring BT and Sky Sports, so visitors can enjoy all the latest sporting events in the pub.
What’s more, the beer garden has also received a makeover, adding a spacious array of outdoor seating so more guests can enjoy a refreshing drink in the sunshine this summer.
For those looking for entertainment, guests are also invited to a range of events hosted during the week, including a weekly smartphone quiz on Thursday nights and live music nights throughout the summer.
General manager Andrew Atkinson said: “Old Leyland Gates is the perfect community hub right at the heart of Leyland.
"Whether you’re looking for a place to catch up with old friends or want to enjoy a hearty meal with the whole family, you’ll always have a seat at Old Leyland Gates.
“With improved facilities, regular entertainment and our brand new pool table and dart board, we’re excited to be able to offer our Leyland guests an even better drinking, dining and social experience.
“We can’t wait to welcome new and existing guests back to the pub over the next few weeks. Don’t miss out on our special deals every day of the week, including 25 per cent off our challenge dishes on Fridays.”
Located in the centre of Leyland, just a short drive from Leyland Golf Club and Cuerden Valley Park, the pub is dog-friendly and just a five-minute walk from Leyland train station, making it the ideal pit-stop for locals and visitors alike.
