The county’s mental health NHS trust has been shortlisted eight times across six categories at this year’s HSJ Patient Safety Awards.
Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust, which provides services at both Royal Blackburn Hospital and Burnley General Hospital, has been shortlisted for: Mental Health Initiative of the Year; Changing Culture; Patient Safety Team of the Year; Community Care Initiative of the Year; and Primary Care Initiative of the Year.
Chief executive Caroline Donovan said: “We are thrilled to have been shortlisted eight times for the HSJ Awards.
“These awards really help shine a light on the collaborative efforts and dedication of our staff members over the last 12 months."
Winners will be selected ahead of the ceremony, which will take place in Manchester in September 2022.
