Give us some history about the pub:

The pub was built in 1700, in a former Roman town. It’s very much the hub of the community. Regulars call in with their children, dogs, families. The Black Bull is very much central to the village. Our customers range from 18-80 + and they chat with us at the bar and take a genuine interest in what we are doing. They bring extended family in to try our food and suggest menu ideas.

Orla our pub dog is very much loved by the customers and gets lots of cuddles. Whilst we have only known the locals 10 weeks, it feels much longer. It feels like they are an extended part of our family... that go fishing with their young children and then call in the Black Bull afterwards. We love being here because of the beautiful village, amazing pub and its character and the lovely people of Ribchester.
