A pub has launched a new menu just for your four legged friends – and customers are raising the ‘woof’ for it.

The Spread Eagle in Mellor launched the menu earlier this week, meaning your dogs can enjoy a tasty meal with you.

Far from bog-standard dog treats, this menu features real human food such as eggs and bacon.

The full menu includes:

  • Two sausages: £2
  • 3 strips of bacon: £2.39.
  • Chicken breast: £3
  • Scrambled eggs: £1

A spokesperson for The Spread Eagle said they wanted to introduced the menu as they understand dogs are “a part of the family” to many.

They said: “We want dogs to feel as welcome as everyone else who comes through our doors - So why not give them their own menu!?

“Mellor is a beautiful place to come out walking and many often visit us with their pooches, who deserve a well-earned treat!

The pub’s separate bar area and terrace are dog friendly, (excluding the main dining room).

If you want to bring your dog along for a meal, staff advise customers to book as normal and include a note about bringing your dog. Tables are available on a first come first serve basis.

A spokesperson said: “For guests with any concerns we can confirm that our dining room is completely dog free, as we are fortunate to have a spacious building with different sections.

“Our cosy bar area is the perfect space to welcome customers with four legged friends.”

Since posting the update, dozens of customers have commented on the post excited about the new menu.

One person said: “Sounds pawfect”

“Brilliant idea,” said another.

“Excellent,” said a third. “A lot of places are doing this now and it’s brilliant.”
