A Land Rover was discovered by police abandoned upside down in a ditch.
Officers were called on Tuesday morning to a roadside near Leyland where they found the vehicle upside down, and the driver nowhere to be seen.
The police had to recover the Land Rover with the help of roadside assistance and have seized the vehicle.
A spokesperson for the police said: "This morning we received reports of a Land Rover upside down in a ditch near Leyland.
"I don't think even 4x4 and diff lock would have got this one out, so we had it recovered for them.
"The driver was nowhere to be seen and keeper enquires didn't turn up much either.
"If the owner wants it back, they can pop down to the station and explain how they got it so wrong round the bend."
