Two people have been taken to hospital after a late-night crash in Accrington.

Fire crews and paramedics were called to the crash on Milnshaw Lane in the town centre at 10.10pm last night (June 17).

Two people received treatment from firefighters before being taken to hospital by paramedics.

Two fire crews used draw mats, environmental kits, a trauma bag, and scene lighting during the incident.

A spokesperson for the fire service said: “At 22:10 on 17 June, two fire engines from Hyndburn attended a road traffic collision on Milnshaw Lane in Accrington.

“The incident involved two vehicles. Two casualties received treatment from firefighters before being taken to the hospital by paramedics.

“Crews used draw mats, environmental kits, a trauma bag, and scene lighting at this incident. They were in attendance for an hour.”
