Lancashire Telegraph:

This is just one of many reported incidents as the pub came under fire recently after a number of violent incidents were attended to by police.

Police say they have reports of 35 incidents at the pub since early 2020.

The venue has the second-highest recorded number of incidents in Rossendale in the past 12 months, according to reports sent to the licensing hearing.

The landlady, Marie Burke refuted the claims the pub was overridden with violence and was due to attend a licensing review in April.

Lancashire Police statements included officer visits in July, August and December of 2020 amid Covid restrictions including social distancing and restrictions on gatherings.
