Almost 60 years after The Beatles performed in East Lancashire, ‘the best Beatles tribute band in the world’ will be performing in Rossendale next month.

The Upbeat Beatles announced they will be playing at St Mary’s Chambers, Rawtenstall, in on Friday, July 15, as part of their tour.

The audience will be taken on a journey following early Cavern days through Beatlemania, America, Sergeant Pepper to Abbey Road as the act tells the story of the lives of one of music’s biggest influences.

She Loves You, I Wanna Hold Your Hand and A Hard Day’s Night are just a few of the top hits the band will be playing.

Previous performances included archive clips and interviews of John, Paul, George and Ringo to create a nostalgic visual scrapbook of the band.

The band decided to ‘come together’ as a tribute act in 1997 and since then have performed across the globe, earning a reputation as one of the best.

Founded by manager John Wilson, the act have been re-creating the excitement and famous sound of the original Fab Four over the past two decades.

The performers behind the legendary names are Simon Blight as Sir Paul McCartney, Colin Yate as George Harrison, James Jordan as Ringo Starr and Richard Jordan as John Lennon.

The band will be playing at St Mary’s Chambers, Rawtenstall, on Friday July 15, at 7.30pm.
