Final preparations are now underway for one of the biggest East Lancashire events this weekend...The Oswaldtwistle Carnival.
It is being held this Sunday, June 19, the perfect family treat for Father's Day.
The procession is looking to be fabulous, with the Accrington Pipe Band leading the way for the more than 30 different representatives taking part, including uniformed organisations, local voluntary and community groups, charities, churches, local businesses and a few vintage vehicles thrown in.
Up at the funday at Rhyddings Park, there are over 50 stalls, including charity tombolas, traditional games such as splat the rat and a coconut shy, craft stalls, as well as tasty treats and a few small children's rides as well as inflatables. There are also a few free activities for families to take part in, such as free Open Top Bus Rides, treasure hunt and a keepsake craft.
There is live music and dance performances throughout the afternoon.
