A Grade II listed former Grammar School is to host its first ever wedding fair this Saturday following a £2 million transformation.

The Landmark in Burnley will host the wedding fair from 10am to 3pm on June 18, giving brides and grooms to be, as well their families and friends, the chance to take a closer look at the historic building, which is now the town's newest, exclusive wedding and event venue.

Taking place in The Landmark's 1873 Wing, the wedding fair is free to attend, with visitors able to call in on the day.

Those attending will receive a glass of fizz or orange on arrival before enjoying a guided tour of the top class facilities which are available to book now for all life's celebrations including weddings, birthday parties, christenings, proms and many more.

A number of wedding suppliers will also be showing at the event, including live bands, room dressers, make up artists, photographers, cake designers, florists and a bridal shop showcasing a stunning display of wedding dresses.

One lucky couple attending the fair will also get the opportunity to win £1,000 off their wedding package, if they book their special day at The Landmark within 30 days of the event.

Everyone who attends and books within that timeframe will receive a free ‘Bath of Beer' drinks package worth £300.

The new, boutique wedding venue has excellent availability, including Saturdays and caters for 35 to 80 guests for a seated wedding breakfast and up to 150 guests for the evening reception.

Events planner at The Landmark, Vikki Boyd, said: "We are so excited to welcome everyone into our brand new 1873 Wing and we can't wait to share this glorious venue with the public.

"We've already hosted some fantastic events here over the last few months and the feedback which we have received has been wonderful.

"If you're looking to get married in 2022 or 2023, as a new venue we have great availability, so come and take a look around and see what we have to offer. We're sure you'll fall in love with it as much as we have."

The unique architecture of the building allows multiple, exclusive locations for people to celebrate their big day including fully private entrances, The Great Hall with its arched-braced open timber roof, The Old Library with views of St Peter's Church and the stunning Atrium entrance, with its external glass lift, red carpet and unique stained glass windows.

There's also plenty of beauty spots for those all important wedding photos, with the stained glass windows, grand staircase and historical gardens all providing stunning backdrops.
