A Taste of Chorley returns this weekend to once again showcase the great food and drink culture the town has to offer.

The event will celebrate food and drink related activities, businesses and products that can be found in Chorley and the surrounding areas, whilst also pointing the way towards a healthier more sustainable future for residents and businesses in Chorley.

Throughout the two days there will be cooking demonstrations, food tasting, advice on healthy eating including on a budget, recipes and cooking tips.

There will be a wide range of food to purchase from local producers, whilst visitors will have the opportunity to purchase produce they can take home.

There will also be competitions for budding cooks and bakers to enter.

Over the two days of A Taste of Chorley there will be demonstrations from local chefs, butchers, and bakers, as well as step-by-step guides to making some amazing dishes with a chance to taste some of the fantastic food once it has been made.

The demonstration kitchen can be found Market Street, where there will also be a seating area for people to view the demonstrations.

The town centre will be transformed into a hive of activity and those looking to do even more that weekend with the family can take advantage of the entertainment at Market Walk.

The weekend always draws in a high number of visitors to Chorley and provides a great boost in the local economy.

Last year, more than 3,500 people attended, and this year organisers are looking to welcome even more.
