A PARCEL delivery driver was spotted travelling at excess speed on the motorway before police clocked him watching YouTube on his phone.
The driver was travelling on the M6 close to Lancaster on Thursday night, and caught the attention of the police when they noticed him speeding and struggling to maintain lane discipline.
When they pulled alongside the van, they saw the driver was watching YouTube on his phone and was blissfully unaware of the police BMW driving next to him for more than half a mile.
A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: "A parcel delivery van at excess speed and poor lane discipline caught our attention on the M6 at Lancaster.
"When next to the vehicle we saw that the driver was watching YouTube on phone (cradled).
"Also they were not aware of the fully liveried BMW for over half a mile.
"Driver has been reported for due care offence."
