The M6/M62
A driver has been arrested for drinking a bottle of wine at the wheel.
Officers spotted the motorist on Wednesday travelling down the M6, swigging a bottle of wine.
Patrols managed to stop the vehicle just off the M62 where the driver was spoken to by police and duly arrested.
A spokesperson for North West Motoway Police said: "A driver has been arrested just off the M62 by our MC patrols after he was sighted on the M6 drinking a bottle of wine at the wheel."
