THE East Lancashire Railway is hosting a full weekend of fun Platinum Jubilee celebrations, including Spitfire and Hurricane flypasts.

Trains are running all days across the 12-mile line, with live music and celebrations to be had at many stations along the line from Friday, June 3 until Sunday, June 5.

Acts like Paul Harper, the Lancashire Belle, The Washboard Resonators and many more will be performing at various stations.

The platforms will also play host of vintage stalls will offer clothing and memorabilia and there will be Spitfire and Hurricane flypasts scheduled throughout the weekend.

Tickets include unlimited travel on our steam and heritage diesel trains, allowing travellers to hop on and off at any of the station stops and explore.

There will also be live re-enactments and speeches, with performances from the Vice Lord-Lieutenant and a young Queen Elizabeth.

The railway line runs between Heywood and Rawtenstall, with stops at Bury, Irwell Vale, Burrs Country Park, Summerseat, and Ramsbottom.
