A man has been sent to prison for two armed robberies after police found him hiding in a loft.
Aiden Ellerker failed to appear for sentencing at the end of April following the incidents, and was located earlier this week when officers went searching for him.
On February 15 and February 19, 2020, police received two reports of a knifepoint robbery at the Spar shop in Blakiston Street in Fleetwood.
A man had entered the store holding a knife and had his face covered. He threatened staff, demanding money and taking cash from the till.
Following enquiries, Ellerker, 27, of Addison Road, Fleetwood, was arrested and charged.
He pleaded guilty, but failed to appear at Preston Crown Court on April 28 when he was due to be sentenced.
Police found him on Monday hiding in the loft of a property in Blackpool.
He was taken to court on Tuesday and sentenced to a total of five years and nine months in prison, including an extra three months for failing to appear.
