A person has reportedly died on the tracks at Layton station in Lancashire.
British Transport Police confirmed this afternoon that a person died on the tracks.
They said: "Officers were called to Layton station at 3.05pm following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"Paramedics also attended however sadly a person has been pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
This news comes after it was reported that all lines were blocked between Preston and Blackpool North.
Northern said: "Due to the emergency services dealing with an incident on the railway between Blackpool North and Preston, the line is blocked.
"Train services are unable to run in both directions between Blackpool North and Preston; please check before you travel."
Numerous lines were said to have been affected, including lines that run through Bolton.
