Three people have been charged in connection with 17 high value burglaries in Lancashire.

The men, all from Merseyside have been charged following the burglaries, ten of which were committed in the Merseyside area, 17 in the Lancashire area, seven in the Cheshire area and one offence in both North Wales and Norfolk.

Officers from Operation Castle launched Op Coliseum following a series of high value residential burglaries in the early part of 2021.

In addition, the Lancashire offences also included a number of firearms related matters.

Adam Hastings, 30, originally from the Netherton area, Shaun Rimmer, 28, originally from the Netherton area and Callum Martin, 32, originally from the Bootle area, but all of no fixed abode, were charged with conspiracy to burgle dwelling houses between January 2021 and April 2021 and unlawful possession of shotguns in relation to a Lancashire burglary.

Hastings and Rimmer were also charged with theft of a motor vehicle in relation to one of the burglaries in Cheshire.

They will appear at Liverpool magistrates court on Tuesday June 7.
