A NEW restaurant, which serves artisan and stone-baked pizzas as well as craft beers, is coming to Lancashire.

No 61 Pizza, which currently owns a shop on Market Street in Chorley, is opening a second restaurant in Ormskirk.

They will be opening the site on Burscough Street, taking over the site which is currently operated by Two Cents Pizza

A spokesperson said: “Fear not Burscough Street, we are coming!

“We are pleased to announce we are opening restaurant number two and that No61 pizza is expanding to Ormskirk.

“We hope to continue the reputation and quality that Two Cents Pizza has created on Burscough Street.

“We wish Two Cents Pizza all the best with their new venture.

“We cannot wait to serve you all quality artisan pizzas and a wide selection of beverages.”

While they don’t have an exact opening date yet, a spokesperson said they are hoping to be up and running by the end of June or early July at the very latest.

No.61 is a modern, artisan pizza business which strives to make the best possible pizzas using their handmade dough.

They also serve a wide selection of refreshing craft, cask and draught beers along with a huge selection of wines and spirits.

According to their website, No.61 is “an extremely relaxed and family friendly restaurant with a chilled vibe, perfect for couples”.

The Chorley site has sterling reviews, with a 5/5 rating on Facebook.

One person said: “Best pizzas by miles, I have only tasted better in Naples. You've just got to eat every bit down to the last bit of crust.”

Another said: “Friendly, great wine, fabulous pizza. Great atmosphere. I will be returning regularly.”

“Best pizza in Chorley and the service is excellent,” said a third.
