A MAJOR Lancashire car show is back for the first time in three years later this month.

More than 200 cars will be on display at the Pendle Powerfest on Sunday, May 29, at Nelson and Colne College. Families can also enjoy food, entertainment and music on the day.

Pendle Powerfest is run by a group of dedicated volunteers on a not-for-profit basis. The group meets monthly in Barrowford and spends most of the year planning events.

A spokesperson said: “We have a wide range of cars on show from heavily modified vehicles through to supercars and American muscle.

“The group is run by a group of volunteers all in aid of Pendleside Hospice with our raffle winner on the day having the chance to win a Supercar Experience, 5 days away in a motorhome and much more.

“There is a mixture of entertainment on the day - the zorbs are back along with a hovercraft.

"Being a family show we would love to see everyone there on the May 29 and to bring the sunshine with them.”
