A council has closed a bridge and platform opposite a primary school.
Preston City Council said on Monday afternoon that they had been forced to close the bridge and the platform next to the pond opposite Cottam Primary School for 'safety reasons'.
Officers from the council will be sent out to investigate what work needs doing to enable the bridge to be re-opened as soon as possible.
A council spokesperson said: "For safety reasons, we have closed the bridge and platform next to the pond opposite Cottam Primary School.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
"Officers will be fully investigating and looking at the work required to get this facility re-opened as soon as possible."
