Two teenagers have been arrested after brandishing large knives in a public place.
Officers from the Fleetwood neighbourhood police team were called to Bispham on Sunday night after receiving reports that a group of youths were causing a disturbance in the area.
When police arrived they found the group and carried out a number of searches, finding two of the teens to be in possession of some large knives - one a large kitchen knife and another a hunting-style knife.
A spokesperson for the police said: "Following reports this evening of a disturbance involving a group of youths in Bispham, officers from Fleetwood Team Four have attended and located a group believed to have been involved.
"Following a number of searches, two youths have been arrested after being found in possession of knives.
"While this was a startling discovery for the attending officers, we would like to reassure communities that knife crime is less than one per cent of crime in Lancashire and we take all reports of offences involving a knifes extremely seriously."
