An area of Lancashire has been named the third most dangerous area for learner drivers with 15.65 provisional licence holders involved in accidents.

A new study by Bill Plant driving school has discovered which areas in Britain you are most likely to have a road accident, and the city of Preston ranks third on the list.

The study used Freedom of Information requests and compared the number of provisional licence holders in each city to the amount of reported road accidents involving drivers with a provisional licence in 2020.

The research found that out of the 58,158 provisional licence holders in Preston, 15.65 people have been involved in car accidents.
