Radcliffe’s Metrolink park and ride will reopen tomorrow after expansion works have created an additional 111 parking spaces.

It has been closed since January for the works to be completed and only blue badge holders were able to park there during the construction works.

The new parking deck has increased the overall capacity from 369 to 480 spaces.

This expansion comes after the Whitefield Metrolink car park expansion last year, which provided an extra 123 car parking spaces.

The additional capacity is hoped to enable more people to have access to the Metrolink network and use public transport as part of their overall journey.

Transport for Greater Manchester tweeted: “We've got good news. Radcliffe Park and Ride is reopening on Monday morning in time for the first tram with over 110 new spaces.”
