Seven people have been charged by detectives investigating the supply of class A drugs in East Lancashire.

In a series of dawn raids across Burnley on Wednesday morning, officers arrested eight people – seven men and one woman.

Following consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service seven of those have now been charged with alleged drugs offences.

They are:

  • Javed Miah, 31, of Brent Street, Burnley charged with conspiracy to supply a class A drug – heroin and conspiracy to supply a class A drug – crack cocaine
  • Gabrielle Hughes, 26, of Burnley Road, Cliviger, charged with conspiracy to supply a class A drug – heroin and conspiracy to supply a class A drug – crack cocaine
  • Kasim Amin, 22, of Burnley Road, Cliviger, charged with conspiracy to supply a class A drug – heroin and conspiracy to supply a class A drug – crack cocaine
  • Adnan Khan, 25, of Gordon Street, Burnley, charged with conspiracy to supply a class A drug – heroin and conspiracy to supply a class A drug – crack cocaine
  • Faisal Hussain, 25, of no fixed address, charged with conspiracy to supply a class A drug – heroin and conspiracy to supply a class A drug – crack cocaine and racially/religiously aggravated intentional harassment/alarm/distress – words/writing
  • Faisal Khan, 24, of March Street, Burnley, charged with conspiracy to supply a class A drug – heroin and conspiracy to supply a class A drug – crack cocaine
  • Adeel Khan, 31, of Todmorden Road, Burnley, charged with conspiracy to supply a class A drug – heroin and conspiracy to supply a class A drug – crack cocaine

A 29-year-old man from Burnley arrested on suspicion of drug offences was released under investigation.

All those charged were due to appear at Blackburn Magistrates’ Court today (Thursday, May 12), apart from Adnan Khan and Faisal Khan who will appear on June 9.
