A 22-YEAR-OLD man has been disqualified from driving and fined after he was caught on the motorway while over the legal limit for alcohol.
Aamir Yasin was stopped by officers while driving his Vauxhall Corsa on the M6 near Burton-in-Kendal in Cumbria back in March.
Yasin, of Lammack Road, Blackburn, produced a reading of 44 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath when the legal limit is 35mcg.
Appearing at Lancaster Magistrates's Court on Tuesday, April 26, Yasin pleaded guilty to one count of drink driving.
As a result he has been banned from driving from 12 months and fined £80.
He must also contribute £85 towards court costs and pay a £34 victim surcharge fee, for a total amount payable of £199y, which must be repaid by May 24.
