A TEENAGE boy took police on a 120mph pursuit in the early hours of today after taking his parents’ car for a joyride with friends.

Lancashire Road Police said the boy, aged 15, and his four mates had been detained following the pursuit at around 4am – which had seen the driver take "dangerous risks".

They also reminded others that "actions have consequences"

In a tweet, Lancashire Road Police said: “When you’re 15-years-old, don’t take your parents’ car and don’t pick your mates up for a joyride.

“Don’t drive at over 120mph and don’t get pursued by trained drivers while taking dangerous risks.

“Five people have been detained and the driver has some explaining to do.

“Actions have consequences.”
