A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and possession with intent to supply drugs.
At around 7.45pm on Saturday, May 7, police were made aware two vehicles – a Vauxhall Grandland and a BMW – which were believed to have been stolen from Greater Manchester, had been seen in the Burnley area.
A short time later a TacOps officer on patrol spotted the Vauxhall and an operation was put into place to stop it.
It was stopped at around 9pm in Leeds Road, Nelson, and a 33-year-old man from Nelson was arrested at the scene on suspicion of burglary and possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
He has since been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
