Comedian Jason Manford was on hand to pick out the winners of a charity raffle at Blackburn police station at the end of April.

Lancashire Police hosted the event at Greenbank Police Station to raise money for their chosen charities, one of which was the East Lancashire Hospice.

The event also featured a 'bake off' between the police officers with winners chosen by Rachel and Lauren Finch of the Finch Bakery, Great Harwood.

Ann Dobson, who attends the Creative and Support Therapy (CaST) sessions at the hospice, joined Jackie Morris, the hospice's fundraising assistant, at the event to talk about what the hospice has done for her and how important the services are to people in our community.

Lancashire Telegraph:

The charity raffle event raised £2,016. Pictured are Matt (Lancashire Police), Ann Dobson (CaST patient) and Neomy (Lancashire Police).

Jackie Morris said: “We would like to thank Neomy and Matt from Lancashire Police for organising such a fantastic day to benefit the hospice.

"It is incredible to see the support we receive and the compliments from people after we go out and talk about the services and support we offer to patients and their families in our community.”

The charity raffle event raised £2,016 which was presented to Ann Dobson.
