A 34-year-old man has been arrested as part of an investigation into courier fraud.
The man from Rossendale was arrested last week on suspicion of fraud and money laundering after a warrant was executed at an address in Crawshawbooth. Officers also seized items thought to be worth around £100,000 from the address.
The arrest was made as part of an ongoing investigation, codenamed 'Operation Fardel', launched by police forces in November 2020 following reports of courier fraud across the country.
In total around 30 people reported financial losses totalling around £650,000. Most were able to get their money back via the bank.
The man has been released under investigation and enquiries continue.
