THE Zutons have announced an intimate warm-up gig at Clitheroe Grand.

The Liverpool band - known for the song Valerie which was later recorded by Amy Winehouse - have a series of festival dates this summer. In preparation for them, they will be in Clitheroe on Friday, June 3.

The band shot to prominence in 2004 with their debut album Who Killed ...The Zutons? which earned them a Brit Award nomination for best breakthrough act. Their follow-up album Tired of Hanging Around featured their first top 10 single, Why Won't You Give Me Your Love? and also Valerie.

The band split in 2009 only for the original members to get back together again for a reunion tour to mark the 15th anniversary of their debut album.

Recently they have been working with Chic legend Nile Rodgers on a new album.

Tickets for the Clitheroe date are now on sale from www.thegrandvenue.co.uk
