A DRINK driver has had his licence taken away after being caught behind the wheel having had too much booze.
Burnley man Mark Crossley was more than 300 miles from home when he was stopped by officers in Plymouth at the end of March.
The 34-year-old was asked to take a breath test - which he did – and revealed he was over the legal limit for alcohol.
Crossley, of Printers Fold, Burnley, admitted the offence and was fined £556.
He was also ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £56 and £85 in prosecution costs.
Court documents also show that he has been disqualified from driving for 20 months – the minimum obligatory period.
