This impressive building was in a sorry state when this photo was taken in 1968.
It shows the former barracks on Clifton Street in Burnley which was scheduled for demolition.
The barracks were in use at the turn of the last century as a base for the local militia and probably served up to the First World War. It subsequently became a timber yard but had been an eyesore for a number of years
