East Lancashire presenter, AJ Odudu, reunited with some of the Strictly Come Dancing class of 2021 and shared an adorable picture of it on social media.

Blackburn-born AJ, who was a finalist in the 2021 series, is pictured with fellow contestants, John Whaite, Rhys Stephenson, as well as professional dancer, Johannes Radebe.

AJ and her fellow Strictly contestants were enjoying a night out together at Johannes’ show, Freedom.

In the show, Johannes and a host of other professional dancers will perform everything from elegant Ballroom to fiery Latin to South African rhythms and huge party anthems.

AJ’s mum, Florence, who currently lives in Blackburn, also attended the show and posed in a picture next to Johannes.

The sweet snap was captioned: “Reunited and it feels so good. Johannes Radebe spread joy on and off stage. We love you JoJo.”

Thousands of fans liked AJ’s photo, with over 140 flocking to the comment section to comment on the reunion snap.

One person wrote: “Dream team.”

“What more do you ever need? Perfection,” said another.

A third person commented: “AJ’s Mum has the most beautiful smile.”

“Wonderful pictures,” said another. “So lovely to see all you fabulous people re-united.”

AJ made it to the final three in last year’s Strictly Come Dancing. However, she was unable to perform on the final episode due to an ankle injury.

Chorley baker, John Whaite, danced his heart out with Johannes in an attempt to win the glitter ball trophy, but was beaten by Eastenders actress, Rose Ayling-Ellis.

The BBC show recently won the top award at Royal Television Awards.

The judges said: This year the recipient of this prestigious honour is a television series which broke new ground in 2021.

“That’s an extraordinary achievement in itself, given that it’s by far the most popular entertainment show on British television, and now in its nineteenth season.

“In the series last Autumn, Strictly Come Dancing’s producers created two new milestones - both of them as a consequence of the inclusive casting policy that’s become one of the show’s many defining hallmarks.

“What a tremendous series it was.”
