Motorists were stopped for drug driving and having no insurance overnight (April 12) with vehicles seized in separate incidents by officers.

In Blackburn, this Audi was stopped for not having insurance and the driver attempted to give false details. A DVLA picture and fingerprint reader proved otherwise.

Lancashire Telegraph:

The disqualified driver had no insurance and was arrested for drug driving.

Later police stopped another Audi A3 stopped and a further arrest was made for drug driving.

In Nelson a vehicle was seized for not being insured.

Nelson and Barrowford Police posted: “A reminder to all, insure your vehicle and check when it is up for renewal, then you won’t lose it.”

Police spotted this Citroen C3 on Stanifield Lane, Leyland with a large crack in the windscreen and the driver tried to evade officers.

Preston Police posted: “The driver failed miserably and was stopped on Stanley Avenue, Leyland. Driver found to have an expired licence. Driver reported and vehicle seized.”

Officers on patrol stopped this Vauxhall Vectra on Preston New Road, Preston.

The driver claimed he had a foreign driving licence but had no proof of this saying it was lost years ago. The driver was reported and the vehicle seized.
