A CAR being driven oin cloned plates driving through East Lancashire was found to be stolen from Manchester.
Officers spotted the Ford Mondeo on the M65 and followed it covertly onto the A56 in Haslingden.
Police said they used "pre-emptive tactics" to prevent a pursuit and three occupants detained from the vehicle.
A spokesperson for the Lancashire Constabulary said: “This cloned Ford Mondeo was sighted on the M65 before being followed covertly onto the A56, Haslingden.
“Pre-emptive tactics used to prevent a pursuit and three occupants detained from the vehicle. Vehicle found to be a stolen from Manchester.”
