Blackburn road closed as man hit by car close to Shell garage

A man suffered facial injuries when he was hit by a car.

The crash happened on Whalley Banks in Blackburn just before 11.30am on Thursday.

Emergency services attended the scene, close to the Shell Garage, and the road was closed for around 40 minutes.

It is not known if the man was taken to hospital and it is believed no-one else was injured in the crash.

Lancashire Telegraph:

A police spokesperson said: "We were called at 11.25am today to a crash between a car and a pedestrian.

"The pedestrian, a man, suffered some facial injuries.

"The ambulance were called and attended.

"The road was closed while police dealt with the incident."
