A driver who failed to stop for police while in a stolen vehicle has been arrested for drugs offences.
The VW, pictured, was stolen from Burnley on Saturday.
On Sunday night, police spotted it in Nelson where it failed to stop when requested.
Officers stung the vehicle in Brierfield before it then crashed.
The driver tried to run but was caught by police and a quantity of drugs found in the car.
The driver also failed a drugs wipe for cannabis and cocaine and was arrested.
A police spokesperson said: "This VW failed to stop for police in Nelson having been stolen from Burnley the day before.
"It was stung and later crashed in Brierfield.
"The driver ran but was caught after a short foot chase.
"A quantity of drugs found on board and driver failed a drug wipe.
"One in custody."
